与中国东部沿海地区比较,基督教在华西的文字事工一直比较落后,然而在抗日战争时期,基督教在华西的文字事工呈现出空前的繁荣。几个重要的出版社和期刊社迁来华西,与本地出版社机构加强合作,成立了基督教联合出版社,成都成为抗战时期基督教出版业的中心城市。抗战结束,一些出版机构迁走,基督教在华西的文字事工走向衰落。
Compared with the eastern coastal areas in China, Christianity in western China has been relatively backward writing, however, during the Anti-Japanese War, Christianity in western China’s writing work showed unprecedented prosperity. Several important publishing houses and periodicals moved to Huaxi and stepped up cooperation with local publishing houses to set up a joint Christian publishing house. Chengdu became the central city for the Christian publishing industry during the War of Resistance Against Japan. After the war of resistance ended, some publishing agencies were relocated and Christianity’s writing work in West China dwindled.
