Chaoyang City, located in the northwestern Liaoning Province, bordering Inner Mongolia and Hebei Province, with a total area of 1.97 million hm2, belonging to semi-arid areas. Due to the serious deforestation and the deteriorating of the large area of land, the degeneration of the forestland is more serious. Large area of barren hills or no forest areas in this area need reforestation.
