与联合国大楼一街之隔的哈马舍尔德广场历来是纽约不同团体集会表达意见的场所。但2月27日聚集在这里的不是单个利益团体,也不是单一种族。两千多名不同团体、不同种族的人不约而同来到联合国大楼前,向全世界揭露发生在这个自称人权国度里的一件严重践踏人权的事件。 就在两天前的2月25日,纽约首府奥伯尼的高等法院宣布,连开41枪杀害黑人移民迪亚洛的四名白人警察无罪释放。震惊全美的惨案,持续一年的审判,等待正义的人们等来的是杀人无罪。纽约充满了惊愕、悲愤和绝望。 而这时,美国的政客们正在日内瓦联合国人权大会上对别国的人权状况横加指责。
The Hamas-Sheldold Plaza, across the street from the United Nations building, has traditionally been a meeting place for different groups in New York City to voice their opinions. But February 27 gathered here is not a single interest groups, nor is it a single race. More than 2,000 different groups and racial groups came spontaneously before the United Nations building to expose the world to a grave human rights abuses that took place in this self-proclaimed human rights country. Just two days ago, on 25 February, the High Court of New York’s Auburn Capital announced the innocent release of four white police officers who opened the chain with 41 shots to kill the black immigrants in Diallo. The tragedies that hit the United States, the trial that lasted for one year, the people waiting for justice, etc. came to kill innocence. New York is full of consternation, grief and despair. At this time, the U.S. politicians are at the United Nations Human Rights General Assembly in Geneva, placing their finger on the human rights situation in other countries.
