“只要是有益于广大人民群众和社会经济发展的事,我就要全心去呼吁,认真去办理。”长阳土家族自治县人大代表、龙舟坪镇何家坪村党支部书记柳保华以此为行动标准,履行代表职责,带领全村村民共同致富奔小康,得到了村民的一致拥护。何家坪村有个叫果子岩的地方,当地群众流传着“上个果子岩,来去一双鞋”的顺口溜。此地位于龙舟坪镇与磨市镇的交界处,山上住着原渡口坪小村3个组的百余户人家,没有一条公路,祖祖辈辈都盼望有一天能修建一条通往山上山下的公路。柳保华就在大山下的清江岸边,天天望着果子岩,深知山上百姓的困苦,也曾多次在上山途中为肩扛背驮的村民换换肩,一背就是几里路,一趟下来,汗水湿透衣裳。
