抗日战争时期,苏州成为沦陷区,但是,处在日寇铁蹄下的苏州人民,在这8年里,以各种方式与日伪进行着不屈不挠的斗争。其中有国共两党领导组织的抗日斗争,有各民主党派领导组织的抗日活动,还有许多群众自发的抗日行动。发生在苏州市中心的北局(今小公园)国货公司(即今人民商场)大楼上的一起土炸弹炸日伪“苏州广播电台”事件,就是一个十分鲜明的群众自发抗日的例子。
During the War of Resistance Against Japan, Suzhou became a enemy-occupied area. However, the people of Suzhou, who were under the iron heel of the Japanese invaders, fought indomitable struggles with Japan and the Puppet in various ways over these eight years. Among them are the anti-Japanese struggle organized by the leaders of the two parties of the Kuomintang and Communist parties, the anti-Japanese activities organized by the leaders of various democratic parties and the spontaneous anti-Japanese actions of many people.
