统计是对国民经济和社会发展运行情况提供信息、咨询、监督的一项重要基础工作。为了有效地提高北京市统计专业队伍的水平,加快统计改革,根据人事部、国家统计局《统计专业技术人员继续教育暂行规定》和北京市第十届人大常委会通过的《北京市专业技术人员继续教育规定》,结合北京市统计专业工作的特点和统计专业技术队伍的现状,制定北京市统计专业技术人员继续教育实施意见。 第一条 教育宗旨 继续教育是统计专业技术队伍建设的重要内容。实施继续教育的目的,是提高全市统计专业技术人员素质,以适应统计改革和统计现代化建设的需要。 继续教育以邓小平理论为指导,面向现代化、面向世界、面向未来,紧密联系现代化统计科学技术的发展,主动、有效地为全市统计现代化建设和实施“科教兴国”战略服务。 第二条 教育任务
