范伯群教授和他的学术团队在2000年和2007年分别出版了《中国近现代通俗文学史》和《中国现代通俗文学史》两部文学史著作。相对于前者而言,后者一方面在编写体例、观点论述和文学现象的成因上均加强了史识整合,论述更加严谨和清晰;另一方面在作品细读、资料征引和图像配备上显得更加完备和细致,增加了论述的说服力度和感性色彩。这一所谓的通俗文学研究“二期工程”显示了在通俗文学研究上走向纵深、精益求精的发展态势,为进一步建构通俗文学与新文学“比翼双飞”的中国现代文学史奠定了坚实的基础。
In 2000 and 2007, Professor Fan and his academic team published two literary history books, “History of Modern and Contemporary Chinese Literature” and “History of Modern Chinese Popular Literature” respectively. Compared with the former, on the one hand, the latter strengthens the integration of historical knowledge on the writing style, viewpoints and the causes of literary phenomena, and the discussion is more rigorous and clear; on the other hand, it appears in the detail reading, data collection and image fitting More complete and detailed, increasing the persuasion and emotional color of the discussion. This so-called popular literature study “Phase II” shows the trend towards development in depth and excellence in the study of popular literature, laying the foundation for further building the history of modern Chinese literature of popular literature and new literature solid foundation.
