新中国体育,经历了初期的苏醒和萌动后,在其后20年又遭遇了被迫蛰伏与突然登天的巨大反差。在最高领导人及社会舆论的引导下,被“文革”停滞和打碎了的民族自信心,通过体育竞赛的胜利,瞬间将全国人民的情绪点燃至沸点。体育,尤其是竞技体育,从此在中国成为事关政治、外交、民心所向、民族团结等诸多复杂因素的结合体。这其中,中国女排从人到神的经历,最为贴切地体现了这一特色。
After the initial awakening and sprouting of new Chinese sports, in the next 20 years, it suffered a huge contrast between being forced to dormancy and sudden ascension. Under the guidance of the supreme leaders and public opinion, the national confidence that has been stalled and shattered by the “Cultural Revolution” has instantly ignited the emotions of the entire people to the boiling point through the victory of the sports competition. Sports, especially competitive sports, have since become a combination of many complicated factors in China, such as politics, diplomacy, popular sentiment and national unity. Among them, the Chinese women’s volleyball team from the experience of God, most aptly reflect this feature.
