In order to explore the impact of lead pollution on children’s IQ, five-year school-level students in the vicinity of the traffic thoroughfare were selected as the observation group. Students taking the similar teaching conditions and non-traffic routes were selected as the control. Testing campus atmosphere lead content, student blood lead load, IQ, and influencing factors. The results showed that the lead concentration in the observation group was 1.7 times higher than that of the national standard, the blood lead load of students was ≥1.4μmol / L, the IQ was significantly lower than that of the control group, and that of the control group was within the national standard. The value is 0.95 μmol / L. By means of stepwise regression analysis, nine factors influencing students’ IQ, such as the lead load of hemorrhage, were screened out. After the confounding factors were controlled by the linear model, the effect of blood lead on IQ was still displayed.
