高等学校的根本任务是人才的培养,教学管理工作是学校实施人才培养工作的重要环节,其中学籍管理工作又是教学管理工作中的一项主要内容。大学生的学籍档案资料是高等学校最基本数据,这期间的学生学籍档案是学生个人档案资料最集中的部分,对其今后的一生起着至关重要的作用。尤其是当今大学生就业的社会压力的增大,用人单位对人才的选择和任用慎之又慎,所以说学生学籍资料的管理对学生和用人单位来说都是非常重要的。同时,学校对学生在校期间的管理,也必须利用学生学籍资料作为重要的参考指标,为学生评优、入党、选拔学生干部、在籍学生应征入伍、学生留校工作等提供重要参考。管理工作者还可以利用学生学籍资料对学校的教学安排、教学效果、教学质量、学生思想政治工作等管理工作进行分析。如何管理好学生的学籍档案资料,并为学校的教学工作、科研工作、思想政治教育、学生日常管理等工作提供基本信息材料,是学校教学管理的重要环节。
