建筑学是研究人类生活场所问题的一门学问,因此具有极强的实用性。建筑设计作为解决问题的手段,涵盖工程技术与造型艺术两大范畴,同时还涉及社会以及文化等诸多因素。任何建筑若脱离工程技术的支持则难以实现,建筑师如果不关注建筑技术和材料的发展,就会缺乏设计创新的能力;而缺少对形象的敏感和造型的创意能力,也不可能提出高明的解决方案。所以工程技术是建筑的基本,而造型艺术是对建筑的升华。我们能够以量化的标准对工程技术进行评价,而对于造型艺术则常常是见仁见智、莫衷一是,因此保持工程技术的领先方是建筑师或设计团队获得成功的根本因素。不同于其他艺术门类,建筑设计更注重实用性。对于美术、音乐等艺术形式,个人创作的自我实现可以是唯一的动力与目标;而建筑设计则不同,任何一个建筑都涉及资本的投入以及对土地资源的占用。除了要关注建筑对城市景观的影响以外,对于很多商用项目投资回报的实现,也是建筑师必须考虑的重要因素。建筑师必须对投资方负责,对公众的观瞻负责,对国有土地资源及环境质量负责,更要对建筑的使用者负责。
Architecture is a study of human place of life, a subject, so it has strong practicality. Architectural design as a means to solve the problem, covering two major areas of engineering and plastic arts, but also involves a variety of social and cultural factors. Any construction that is out of engineering support is hard to come by. Architects lack the ability to design and innovate if they are not concerned with the development of building technology and materials. Without the creative ability to be sensitive to the image and modeling, solution. Therefore, engineering is the basic building, and plastic art is the sublimation of the building. While we are able to evaluate engineering skills on a quantitative basis, and often have a mixed opinion on modeling arts, staying engineering lead is fundamental to the success of an architect or design team. Different from other art categories, architectural design pays more attention to practicality. For artistic forms such as art and music, the self-realization of individual creations can be the only motivation and goal; architectural design is different, and any one of the buildings involves the investment of capital and the occupation of land resources. In addition to focusing on the impact of buildings on urban landscapes, the realization of the return on investment of many commercial projects is also an important factor architects must consider. The architect must be accountable to the investor, responsible for the public’s perception, responsible for the state-owned land resources and the quality of the environment, and more responsible for the users of the building.
