Eleven companies newly formed by the electric power system reform were listed in 11 newly established companies of China Power. They were formally announced at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on December 29, 2002. Zeng Peiyan, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and director of the State Development Planning Commission, unveiled the 11 companies including the State Grid Corporation of China.
