From January to February 2012, the total import and export of electromechanical products in China reached 261.47 billion U.S. dollars, accounting for 49.6% of the total merchandise trade and an increase of 6.1% over the same period of last year. Of this total, exports amounted to US $ 156.44 billion, accounting for 59.2% of total merchandise exports, an increase of 8.8% over the same period of last year; imports amounted to US $ 107.73 billion, accounting for 40.1% of the total merchandise imports, an increase of 2.5% over the same period of last year.
