TMV 与 YMV_(15)在系统感染寄主——菸(Nicotiana tabacum)上的相互干扰作用是很微弱的。同时接种二病毒时,在感染的早期(接种后2—3天)YMV_(15)占优势,在此时间以后 TMV 的浓度就超过 YMV_(15)。二病毒以相同的侵染力同时接种心叶菸(Nicotiana glutinosa)时,则大部分的局部斑点是由 YMV_(15)形成的。上述结果表明,YMV_(15)竞争侵染点的能力较 TMV 为大。试验并证明完整的YMV_(15)及其蛋白都能干扰 TMV 侵染菜豆(Phaseoluss vulgaris),因而这种干扰似决定于病毒蛋白质部分对于侵染点附着的特异性。
The interaction of TMV with YMV_ (15) on Nicotiana tabacum was very weak. With simultaneous inoculation of the two viruses, YMV_ (15) dominates in the early stages of infection (2-3 days after inoculation), after which time the TMV concentration exceeds that of YMV_ (15). When the two viruses inoculated Nicotiana glutinosa with the same infectivity, most of the local spots were formed by YMV_ (15). The above results indicate that YMV_ (15) is more competent to invade than TMV. The complete YMV_ (15) and its protein were both tested and proved to interfere with the TMV infection of Phaseoluss vulgaris, thus the interference seems to depend on the specificity of the viral protein moiety for attachment to the infection site.
