小时候,为了我能就近就读于北京实验二小,我们家从城北的马甸搬到城南椿树园。在这儿,周边满是古旧的四合院,还有古色古香的琉璃厂。听大人说,台湾的大作家林海音小时候就曾住在这里,她曾在作品里很仔细地描写了这一带的旧景风物。于是,我对这儿的一砖一木、一花一草好奇起来,在看完根据《城南旧事》改编的同名电影之后,我曾学着故事中小英子的样子到处观察,但并没有太多让我感到惊异的东两,即便是满园的椿树.也未觉出有什么特别的景象,唯有园中一棵古老的歪脖子枣树,让我时至今日,仍对它怀有浓厚的必致。
