中国乒乓球队又到了一个顶峰,去年奥运会上包揽四项冠军,今年世乒赛又捧回了全部七座奖杯,再加上去年10月的世界杯单打冠军和今年年初国际乒联职业巡回赛总决赛的四项冠军,所有的冠军都拿了,这一成绩超过了上一个奥运会周期。在带有”世界”二字的乒乓球比赛中,只有最近一次的第三届世界男子乒乓球俱乐部锦标赛冠军奖杯被比利时的沙勒罗瓦队拿走了。 1995年到1996年,中国队也包揽了世乒赛七项冠军和奥运会的全部金牌,但在1995年的世界杯团体赛中输给了韩国队。无论中国队多么强大,冠军奖杯却总是不能凑齐,总有那么一点点的残缺。但正是因为有了这种小小的缺憾,才让人更能体味乒乓球之美。
