季平是我的好朋友。在我的心目中他的艺术实践真诚而富有建树,他的艺术与人品在我来往的圈子中倍受好评。艺品即人品,好的艺术都是对文化与现实的真诚诉说,季平的艺术便是如此。十年前,尚辉先生曾经在评论季平作品的一篇文章中写到“季平生于上海,熟读这个都市的深处生活,他每天走过淮海路这个商业繁华而人性复杂多样的街区,敏锐的视角与内心思虑常常围绕着他的头脑。”的确如此,季平十年来的艺术锐变与他生存的都市息息相关。作为朋友我目睹了他的头脑意识与作品观念的变化过程,对社会现实与思潮的深刻分析成就了他的艺术观念向当代性转化。
Ji Ping is my good friend. In my mind, his artistic practice is sincere and full of achievements. His art and character have won great acclaim in my circle. Art is the character, good art is the sincere talk of culture and reality, Ji Ping art is the case. Ten years ago, Mr. Shang Hui wrote in an essay on the works of Ji Ping. “Ji Ping was born in Shanghai and was familiar with the profound life of this city. Every day he walked Huai Hai Road, a bustling and complex human nature Block, keen perspective and inner thoughts often surround his mind. ”Indeed, quarterly artistic changes and his city of life are closely linked. As a friend, I witnessed the changing process of his mind consciousness and concept of works. A profound analysis of the social reality and trend of thoughts made his artistic concept transform into a contemporary one.
