沈阳市和平区四经街第一小学建于1956年,占地5600多平方米,现有29个教学班,近700名学生。学校在上级教育主管部门的正确领导下,全面贯彻党的教育方针,本着办人民满意教育的宗旨,推进义务教育的均衡发展。2009年,学校完成综合改革实验校的工作目标,2011年被确定为沈阳市首批项目提升校,是沈阳市信息技术特色学校、沈阳市科技教育特色学校。学校确定了以“成长比成功更重要”的办学理念为支撑的“成长教育”办学特色,提出了“学生成长,教师成功,学校发展”的三大实施
