Guo Moruo, a famous scholar and writer of the 20th century in our country, spent more than 20 years in Japan. Among the contemporary intellectuals, his time was almost the longest. The openness, pluralism and inclusiveness of Japanese culture make Guo Zhenmo, a true romanticist, inevitably influenced by this kind of rich culture. Through the intermediary of Japanese culture, Guo Moruo has broadened his horizons and has the world’s vision. Therefore, it can be said that Japanese culture plays an intermediary role. While absorbing the quintessence of Japanese culture, Guo Moruo is deeply influenced by Europe and the United States and integrates the essence of Western culture and creates an outstanding literary masterpiece in keeping with the spirit of the times.
