Laura Jane Smith, a world-renowned expert on heritage, rethought the discourse of critical heritages to remind people of the importance of the Western discourse on the “monopoly” of world heritage and the public’s willingness to express their vivid heritage. At the same time, she is extremely concerned about China’s intangible cultural heritage and also explores how to apply international practices and standards to China’s special context.
