The rapid popularization of the emerging online media led by Weibo marks that the public opinion supervision in the Web2.0 era is developing in a public-led mode. Microblogging “onlookers” has become one of the typical examples of online media supervision. By using Foucault’s micro-power theory to analyze the power operation and normative mechanism of the cyber-public opinion supervision, we can conclude that the gathering of the utterance power of the micro-individuals produces a huge amount of disciplinary power, and through law, market, Social norms and structures shift their normative role from cyberspace to the real world.
