一篇名为《地暖辐射的6大危害》的文章每逢冬季便时不时出没在朋友圈等地方,家有儿女的人看到了,顿觉胆战心惊:地暖有辐射吗?会伤害宝宝吗?还能用吗?其实,这是一条季节性流行谣言。离奇谣言诞生始末让人觉得离奇的,是地暖谣言帖诞生和发酵的过程。2005年3月搜狐健康发布了一篇文章《电磁辐射的6大危害》——除了关键词“电磁”和“地暖”两个字不同外,通篇文章与现在流行的“地暖辐射”帖一模一样,不过影响力不大。之后到11月的时候新华网和中国网发完就开始流传。2008年5月一个搜狐博客将这篇文章Ct rl+H,“电磁”替换成了“地暖”后,就成了如今流行的关于地暖辐射的文童。
