Objective: To investigate the results of various tests of serum creatine kinase, electrolytes and other patients with hypokalemic periodic paralysis and to analyze the relationship between them. Methods: The clinical manifestations of 26 patients with hypokalemic periodic paralysis and the results of serum creatine kinase, electrolytes and other tests were retrospectively analyzed. Results: 26 cases of hypokalemic paralysis patients were associated with changes in muscle enzymes, serum creatine kinase (CPK) and isoenzyme increased, potassium, the clinical symptoms completely changed, CPK returned to normal. CONCLUSIONS: Elevated serum creatine kinase, to some extent, reflects the extent of skeletal muscle damage and is one of the important clinical features of hypokalemic periodic paralysis.
