农六师五家渠垦区,适宜种植甜瓜,已逐渐成为自治区甜瓜的重要产地之一。但近年来,由于蔓枯病严重发生,甜瓜品质及产量受到很大影响。一九七一年,一○二团二连150亩甜瓜平均发病株率达75％;一九七三年,全区又普遍发病,尤以五家渠附近为重。现将初步调查结果简报如下。
