本文拟就14年来新方志人物志编修的得与失从总体上分析一二,意在借此推动人物志的编修在一个较高的层次上向前发展.(一)收录主体发生了质的转变指导思想的根本转变.导致新编方志收录主体的质的变化.就旧志而言(少部分黄炎培、柳亚子等民主人士主纂的旧志除外).其人物志编纂的价值取向是维护封建统治,是为封建统治阶级以及符合这一阶级利益规范的“先贤耆旧”们树碑立传,是“传其人之贤否善恶,以垂示万世”(清·吴曾祺《文体刍言》),一言以蔽之,是为封建统治阶级服务,是要体现这个阶级的利益、要求和意志.在这一指导思想的统领下,旧志的收录便合乎逻辑地以显宦、廉吏、忠孝节烈之辈为主,即诸如《景定建康志》所收正学、孝悌、节义、忠勋、直臣、治行、耆旧、隐德、儒雅、贞女等.新编方志的人物志编纂则反其道而行之,它坚持马列主义、毛泽东思想,在决定方志人物的取舍时,从历史唯物主义的观点出发,以人物之举止是否推动历史的发展,是否有益于两个文明建
