As an example, Fauconnier (1997) and Turner (1996) use English moving sentences as an example to show that the compound of grammatical space and conceptual space plays a major role in generating the semantic structure of a sentence, but the complex space theory can not explain the semantic structure of the sentence and its representative concepts Structure asymmetry phenomenon. This paper argues that the economic principle of Grice (1975) can explain this phenomenon well. According to the economic principle, the speaker should abide by the principle of conversational cooperation, cut down the complexity and omit the commonplace and self-evident information of some words. This paper argues that the semantic coding of a sentence also follows the economic principle. The conceptual structure is always partly reflected in the semantic structure of a sentence, thus resulting in the phenomenon that the semantic structure and the conceptual structure of a sentence are not symmetrical.
