5月3-13日,美国、日本,韩国、新加坡、澳大利亚5国海军位韩国黄海举行“太平洋抵达·2004”潜艇救援演习。中国、加拿大、智利、法国、印度、印度尼西亚、马来西亚、俄罗斯、泰国、英国和越南等11国应邀观摩。该演习每两年举行一次,今年是第3次同类演习。演习目的旨在加强本地区潜艇救援合作与协调,提高救援失事潜艇艇员的能力。该演习始于2000年10月,首次演习由新加坡主办,此次演习由韩海军主办。这也是韩首次主办此类演习。
From May 3 to May 13, the “Pacific Arrival 2004” submarine rescue exercise was held in the Yellow Sea of South Korea by the navies of the United States, Japan, South Korea, Singapore and Australia. 11 countries including China, Canada, Chile, France, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Russia, Thailand, Britain and Vietnam were invited to observe. This exercise is held every two years and is the third such exercise this year. The purpose of the exercise is to strengthen submarine rescue cooperation and coordination in the region and improve the ability of rescue submarine crew members. The exercise began in October 2000 with the first exercise hosted by Singapore, hosted by Han Haijun. This is also the first time that South Korea has hosted such exercises.
