晓苏,二十世纪六十年代生于湖北保康。1979年考入华中师范大学中文系,大学毕业后留校工作至今。现任华中师范大学文学院教授。中国作家协会会员,一级作家。1985年开始小说创作,先后在《收获》《花城》《作家》《钟山》《天涯》《长城》《大家》《山花》《江南》《十月》《上海文学》等刊发表小说四百万字。出版长篇小说《五里铺》《大学故事》《成长记》《苦笑记》《求爱记》5部,中篇小说集《重上娘山》《路边店》2部,短篇小说《山里人山外人》《黑灯》《狗戏》《麦地上的女人》《中国爱情》《金米》《吊带衫》《麦芽糖》8种。作品被《小说月报》《小说选刊》《新华文摘》《作品与争鸣》《中华文学选刊》等刊转载30余篇,并有作品被译成英文和法文。曾获湖北省第四届“文艺明星”奖、首届蒲松龄全国短篇小说奖、第三届和第四届湖北文学奖、第六届屈原文艺奖。
Xiao Su, born in the 1960s in Baokang, Hubei Province. He was admitted to the Department of Chinese at Huazhong Normal University in 1979 and has remained with the university since graduation. Won the fourth “literary star” award in Hubei Province, the first Pu Songling National Short Story Award, the third and the fourth Hubei Literature Award, the sixth Qu Yuan Literature Award.
