In the background of the shortage of mineral energy, promoting geological prospecting has become an inevitable requirement for the development of the times. The statistical work of the geological survey units is an important part of the operation and management of enterprises and institutions and belongs to the important basis for the decision-making and management of enterprises and institutions. On the basis of summarizing the basic statistical work characteristics of the geological survey units, the paper analyzes the main problems that the geological survey units face in the basic statistical work and discusses the measures and ways to improve the basic statistical work of the geological survey units.
