平安保险通过ICSID解决国际投资争端的尝试极具开创意义,在某种程度上,会带动其他中国企业跟进,使得它们在保护海外投资时变得更为积极日前,中国平安保险公司向隶属于世界银行的国际投资争端解决中心(ICSID)提起仲裁申请,正式向比利时政府提出索赔要求。平安的申诉认为,正是由于比利时政府2008年对富通集团(Fortis)的国有化处置失当,导致了平安集团高达30亿美元的巨额投资亏损。
PING AN INSURANCE The attempt to resolve international investment disputes through ICSID is very meaningful and will in some ways lead other Chinese enterprises to follow up and make them more active in protecting overseas investment. Recently, Ping An Insurance The International Bank for Investment Dispute Resolution (ICSID) of the World Bank filed an application for arbitration and formally filed a claim with the Belgian government. Ping An’s complaint argues that it was due to the government’s failure to nationalize Fortis in 2008, resulting in a huge investment loss of up to $ 3 billion for Ping An Group.
