The Yearbook of Xinjiang is a large-scale literary reference book publicized both at home and abroad with the approval of the party committee of the autonomous region and the people’s government of the autonomous region and sponsored by the autonomous regional people’s government and edited by the local editorial board of the autonomous region. By 1996, it had published 12 books. In the past 12 years, it has provided a large number of accurate, reliable and authoritative information materials in political, military, economic and cultural fields for all walks of life and has produced a good society.
