截取一段91.56厘米长的铁丝,弯曲成一个闭合圆环,直径29.16厘米,平面积约等于0.0667平方米,为一市亩的万分之一。使用时,将圆环套在麦苗密度有代表性的测点,数出环内的麦苗株数,扩大1万倍,便得出每亩基本苗数(万株/亩)。为减少误差,提高准确度,可测10个点,求出平均值。实践证明,此法简便易行,不需测量平均行距,不必进行乘除运算,一数而得,便于群众掌握运用;而且测量迅速准确,每分钟可测两点,数据准确度不低于其它方法。
