Xu Keqin, director of the Hunan Ethnic and Religious Affairs Commission, pointed out at the meeting of the director of the people’s congress of the province that “the 13th Five-Year Plan” period is the decisive stage for building a well-off society in an all-round way in our country. We should do a good job in ethnic work during this period with a focus on firmly grasping the five major development concepts and leading the minority areas to fully build a well-to-do society as scheduled. We must firmly grasp the general requirements for precise poverty alleviation and ensure that regional poverty as a whole is eliminated by 2020 in our province. We must firmly grasp the lifeline of the great unity of the Chinese nation and further consolidate the principle of equality, solidarity and mutual assistance and harmony
