The sex ratio of China’s total population has been highly publicized in recent years. It is said that a quarter of men will be unable to find their wives in 1983 (1983); there are 48 million men who find it difficult to court a couple. This group of single men will account for the entire male population. 93% (Demography, 1985); 1990 census results: 94% of the country’s 7.86 million unmarried persons between the ages of 30 and 40; and illegally predicting fetuses with B-waves in recent years.
