Economic anthropology is a field of research that has gathered many different interests in recent years and includes comparative studies of production, distribution and exchange, ethnographic descriptions of special economic systems, analysis of pre-capitalist or “mixed” economic forms, single National, multi-ethnic and world economic systems and the impact this system has on small or peasant communities.
