The lattice extinction point of h-k ≠ 3n in μ phase [001] diffraction shows a considerable intensity with obvious diffraction fringes along the direction of the three reciprocal base vectors (Fig. 1). The former has been interpreted as the presence of superstructures [1] or symbiotic C_ (14) Laves facies [2]; the latter is clearly related to dense faults parallel to the three prismatic planes (Figure 2), but the nature of the faults is not determine.
