《真爱复苏》是基于美国现代作家特里.凯伊的小说《光之谷》改编而成的一部电影。通过对故事情节、主要人物、意象与主题的逐步分析,本论文揭示出该电影与古希腊神话《奥德赛》和圣经故事《诺亚方舟》有诸多相似之处,即与神话原型的人物、叙事结构、意象和主题等具有共通性。事实上,该电影故事借助于神话原型模式,创造了一个现代神话,同时也揭示了所要表达的主题内涵,即人在困境中如何完成自我救赎。
“True Love Recovery” is a movie based on the adaptation of the novel “Valley of Lights” by the modern American writer Terry Kaye. Through the step-by-step analysis of the plot, main characters, images and themes, this paper reveals that the movie has many similarities with the ancient Greek mythology “Odyssey” and the Bible story “Noah’s Ark”, that is, with mythological characters, narrative Structure, image and theme have commonalities. In fact, the movie story has created a modern myth with the help of mythological prototype, and at the same time revealed the theme content to be expressed, that is, how people accomplish self-salvation in their predicament.
