With the promotion of the new round of basic education curriculum reform,a people-centered and student-centered concept has been put more emphasis on. It stresses the importance of respecting individual differences of students and meeting the growth needs of every student.Under this circumstance,there have been a growing number of high schools in Shenzhen(a city in ma-inland China) putting forward the idea of“Tutorial System for Each Student”,which theoretically,is a response to the new education curriculum reform mentioned above.Therefore,teachers in Shenzhen are facing a great challenge as to how to do a good job mentoring high school students to grow,including how to obtain rich knowledge both academically and practically,so as to promote the healthy development of the students.This paper mainly focuses on the practice of implementing the tutorial system and its actual effects.The purpose is to discuss and explore the effectiveness of the implementation of this system,and look for implications for future improve-ments.
