我省是革命的策源地之一,有不少地区曾经是党在早期进行革命活动的老根据地,因而遗留下来的革命文物颇多,散布地区亦较广。这些文物是中国人民革命史实中具有重大价值的宝贵资料。它表现了中国人民在中国共产党的领导下经过了长期艰苦奋斗终于取得了伟大胜利的历史过程。作好这些文物的征集、保管与整理工作,是具有极为重大的意义的。本省博物馆筹备处,成立已近两年,虽曾积极进行了对这些文物的征集与整理工作,并已取得了不少的成绩;但散存在民间或保存在个别单位与个人手中的,仍然不少,由于个人的保存不善,很可能使这些宝贵的文物散失损坏。为了避免遭受这种损失,为研究党史提供必要的资料,必须进一步作好这些文物的征集与保管工作,并准备作公开陈列,以便通过陈列,使广大人民进一步认识今天革命胜利的果实,是由许多革命先进人物和革命烈士经过艰苦奋斗与英勇牺牲所缔造出来的。它将鼓舞人民的爱国热情和坚定人民的战斗意志,为保卫我们的胜利果实和建设幸福的社会主义社会而作坚忍不懈的斗争。

In order to avoid suffering such losses and to provide the necessary materials for the study of the history of the Party, efforts must also be made to solicit and preserve these cultural relics and prepare them for public display so as to enable the general public to further understand the fruits of the victory of today’s revolution.
