选择合适的汉字对于科技英语术语的音译至关重要。本文探讨了科技英语术语音译的汉字选择,认为在进行科技术语音译时,应按照术语源语发音规则,选用与术语源语语音形式最接近的汉字译音,同时兼顾字形和语义。具体可以从谐音借用、形象联想、偏旁部首、音义密合、声调音律五个方面来考虑音译名选字,以使译名与术语原文语音相似、语义相关,从而促进术语的传播。
Choosing the right Chinese is crucial to the transliteration of S & T terminology. In this paper, the choice of Chinese characters for transliteration of scientific English terminology is discussed. In the transliteration of scientific and technical terminology, the closest transliteration of Chinese characters should be chosen in accordance with the pronunciation rules of the source language of the terminology, taking into account the glyphs and semantics. Specifically, we can consider transliteration from five aspects of homophonic borrowing, image associating, radicals, sound and sound, and tone temperament so as to make the translation similar to and semantically related to the original text of the terminology so as to promote the dissemination of the terminology.
