1. INTRODUCTION In studying the structural dynamics and other physical properties, it has been found that various sources of vibration are random in time and therefore their effects can not be properly modeled using sinusoidal excitation. In recent years, a great deal of research has been conducted on experimental apparatus and methods for determining the response of structures to random vibration. This research is particularly difficult because the nature of stochastic processes is complex and requires the use of more sophisticated instruments to generate and analyze stochastic vibrations. The biggest difficulty is the need for a test system of electromagnetic exciter
