在中国近代史上,“亡国灭种”成为鸦片语境的核心表述。此观念的演变过程,体现了鸦片语境与近代民族主义的历史契合。而“亡国灭种”的想象一旦形成,禁烟运动便与民族国家的建构诉求结合在一起,成为近代中国特有的政治现象。
In the modern history of China, “extinction” became the core of opium context. The evolution of this concept reflects the historical fit between opium context and modern nationalism. Once the imagination of “national perishing and genocide” has taken shape, the banning smoking movement has been combined with the demands of nation-state construction and has become a peculiar political phenomenon in modern China.
