社会主义国家要有高度的精神文明,共产主义道德就是精神文明的一个方面。列宁说过:“道德能帮助人类社会升到更高的水平,使人类社会摆脱劳动剥削制”。这是指共产主义道德对社会发展所具有的特殊价值。当今,我们已经摆脱了劳动剥削制,生产资料公有制把每一个人的命运紧紧联系在一起,这就为我们社会“升到更高水平”创造了有利条件。“五讲”“四美”的中心问题是道德问题。加强道德教育是“治国育民”的大事,我们要把它深入到建设社会主义精神文明的广阔领域中去。
The socialist countries need a high degree of spiritual civilization. Communism is one aspect of spiritual civilization. Lenin said: “Ethics can help human society rise to a higher level and make human society free of labor exploitation.” This refers to the special value that communist morality has for social development. Today, we have got rid of the system of exploitation of labor and the public ownership of the means of production has closely linked the fates of every individual. This has created favorable conditions for our society to “rise to a higher level.” The central issue of “five stresses” and “four beauties” is the ethical issue. Strengthening moral education is a major issue of “governing the country and educating the people.” We must deepen it in building a vast field of socialist spiritual civilization.
