“天地君亲师”是过去中国民间祭祀的对象,可见,“师”的地位神圣不可侵犯。然而,到了风云激荡的20世纪,许多名师却完全放下架子,视学生为亲人,待学生同子女,或乐善好施,或因材施教,或慧眼识珠,谱写了一段段动人的师生佳话。1920年春,顾颉刚在胡适的帮助下,任职于北大图书馆,但是,薪酬较低,入不敷出,导致顾颉刚忧心忡忡。为了摆脱顾颉刚的窘境,胡适安排他标点《古今伪书考》,自己每月贴上三十元。顾颉刚在致胡适的信中写道:“我的职事,承先生安排,使我求学与奉职,融合为一,感不可言。
