2000年中国宁夏大漠·黄河国际旅游节于7月8日下午在银川隆重开幕。宁夏回族自治区有关领导,国家旅游局党组成员陈有生,尼日尔、韩国、日本、孟加拉、柬埔寨、老挝、马尔代夫、缅甸、巴基斯坦、斯里兰卡等国家的来宾,国内14个省市自治区有关方面的领导,一些企业家和经贸代表团成员,中外记者及两万多名各族各界群众欢聚一堂,共同参加了这一盛大活动。开幕式上,在优美的音乐声中,文艺表演热烈喜庆,彩车满载盛情,锣鼓豪情奔放,社火、旱船红火欢快,民族歌舞风情浓厚。开幕式一直持续到晚上十点半,在阵阵绚丽多彩的礼花绽放中
