石梓(Gmelina arborea)的天然分布及人工造林多在山区,而山区也有地形、气候和交通条件等的差异。为了摸索能适应山区多种情况的造林方法,于1980年在广西大青山实验局白云试验场,进行了低切干苗、裸根全苗及容器苗等不同苗木的造林试验。试验结果均收到了良好的效果。一、试验区的自然概况试验区位于广西西南部的大青山实验局白云试验场,为山地丘陵,属热带湿润气候。年平均气温21.5℃左右,最冷月平均气温13.0℃,极端低温-1.5℃,日均温≥10℃
