Recently, a research team at the Laser Energy Research Center of Osaka University in Japan announced that they successfully accelerated electrons with a tiny glass tube of only 1 cm in length to obtain a high-energy electron beam with an energy of 1 × 10 -8 eV. The researchers believe that the new results can be used not only to develop small devices for fine processing of semiconductors, but also to improve existing cancer therapies. If you install the tip of the medical catheter micro accelerator, inserted into the patient’s body so that radiation only irradiated cancerous parts, can greatly reduce the side effects.
