’EarliGrande’ peach is a new breed selected from the seedling of a hybrid of 5-58 [(Southland × Jewel) o.p.] × ’Early Amber’ in Fla. 1979 has been promoted in warm winter areas. Due to its low requirement for low temperature (about 275 hours), this variety can be cultivated in Texas, southern United States, especially from the area where Corpus Christi referred to the southern border as the most suitable area for cultivation (by Corpus- Christians heading north to Beaumont, Houston and San Antonio are in danger of being harmed by spring frosts.) The biggest feature of ’EarliGrande’ peaches is precocity (ripening in mid-May), earlier than other peaches in Texas. Although the spring gold peach mature earlier, but because of the high demand for low temperature, there can not grow. So, ’EarliGrande’ peaches have hope to become
