清代发行铸造的当十铜元数量巨大,种类繁多。从光绪二十六年(1900)开始,到宣统三年(1911)结束,在短短的12年时间里,先后发行了千余个版别的龙图铜元,大多版别之间只有轻微的区别,在泉界朋友叹为观止的同时,也为新手带来版别识别上的不少困难与困惑。我们仔细审视这千余个版别的龙图铜元,根据龙图的形状与特征,又可以分成12种大的版别。认真研究与区别这12种版别之间的关系与特征,将会为我们的收藏带来帮助。
