广东省金属学会于1981年3月在广州市召开了第一次会员代表大会暨1981年年会。会议期间广东省副省长叶选平、省科协副主席贾云飞、省经委副主任向洪、省冶金厅厅长曹杰等负责同志出席了会议。中国金属学会余兴远副秘书长也参加了盛会。叶选平同志在会上做了重要讲话。他指出:在经济调整中,我们的科研工作要走在前面,必须要有艰苦奋斗的精神,要在现有的基础上加强我们的革命和创造精神,少花钱多办事,搞好科技工作。曹
Guangdong Metal Society held its first member congress and 1981 annual meeting in Guangzhou in March 1981. During the meeting, Ye Xuanping, vice governor of Guangdong Province, Jia Yunfei, vice chairman of Shaanxi Provincial Association for Science and Technology, and Xiang Jie, deputy director of Provincial Economic Commission, and Cao Jie, director of Provincial Metallurgical Department attended the meeting.
